COCOA(9-3) Tigers vs UNIVERSITY SCHOOL (11-1) Sharks 4A State Semi Final #TheRematch:

Look for some young players to play key roles in this one. Numerous players on both teams are Football Hotbed All Americans and have already garnered the attention of major Division I programs. USchool So QB Nick Vatiatto was named an All American in middle school and now has 3 offers. USchool 8th Grade Phenom Brandon Inniss after dominating youth leagues, middle school, 7v7, and early on in his first year of varsity football has received offers from Baylor, Marshall, and Florida Atlantic.

Cocoa has had the same success with playing young players as well. Cocoa Fr RB OJ Ross was named an All American in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade by Football Hotbed and has already been offered by the University of Toledo. OJ rushed for 641 yards and 6TDs this season.  So DT DaJavon White was also named an All American while in middle school and was offered by Rutgers. Cocoa So QB DJ Arroyo  was named an All American in 8th grade and is receiving interest from major programs after throwing for 2729 yards and 25TDs.

Although the Cocoa Tigers are the higher playoff seed, the University Sharks are ranked 114 in the nation and come in as the favorite. Loaded with DI talent on both rosters this game will be one for the ages. These teams played last season in the State Semi-Final with Cocoa dominating a young University team winning 49-14. A lot has changed with the team dynamic as Cocoa is now the younger team and must face the Sharks talented Seniors. The Tigers look poised and ready for the challenge as they have now outscored its last two playoff opponents 73-14.  During that same span University has outscored its opponents 85-27. Both teams can light up the scoreboard but it will come down to who makes more plays on defense to win and advance.
