Out of State Games

Brevard County High School has been on the National scene since 2010 and the trend will continue in the upcoming Fall Season.

Cocoa, Heritage, Bayside, Palm Bay, Holy Trinity, and Viera have all answered the call to take on some very tough out of State Opponents.

13217414_1748063415477022_6423011894552330686_oPalm Bay will play 8/25 at ESPN Wide World of Sports as they take on a talented Columbine, CO  team. The Columbine Rebels finished 12-1 after losing the State Playoffs 21-20. The Rebels will have to reload as they look to replace a Senior loaded team and the graduation of QB Jake Lowry who accounted for more than 2000 yards of Offense. The Rebels should be in goods hands with Sr RB Mikey Gabriel and Sr RB Tim Mullen who returns after accounting for a total of 2799 yards. Palm Bay Pirates are loaded from Top to bottom after finishing 8-3 and returning to the Playoffs last season. The Pirates are reloaded for another Playoff run with Sr QB Stuart Brown who has great chemistry with electric Sr WR/ATH Dez Arthur and Sr RB Jalen Shelton. The Defense is lead by Sr OLB Lashuan Lighthill-Barber, Jr CB Javonn Robinson and Jr ATH TJ Robinson.

Bayside will travel 8/26 to play Lowndes, GA looking for a bit of redemption after getting blown out 49-6 in last years meeting. Lowndes finished last season 6-5 while Bayside went 0-10. Bayside has a new team, new Coach and are planing on a different result. After not playing so well in their Spring Game much improvement is needed during the Summer to make this game competitive.

Viera will host 9/3 Gonzaga, DC. Both teams are coming off State Playoff runs with Gonzaga finishing  District of Columbia Champions and Viera Florida class 7A runner up. The Hawks have added 7 transfers to include the #1 LB in Brevard in Sr LB Connor Kaminski. With the addition of Kaminski, tackling machine Jr. LB Brandon Mays will lead a very talented front 7.  This Viera team will be a force on defense with players like Sr DT Justin Harrison, Sr DE Marco Foreman, and ATH William Champion.  Jr WR Quinton Richard along with  Jr Travis Jones are poised to have a breakout season for the Hawks on Offense.

Holy Trinity will take on California State Champion St. Bernard High Crusaders (Eureka,CA) on 8/26 at Holy Trinity. The St. Bernard Crusaders are riding a 13 game win streak behind Sr QB Jack Rice who passed for 3646 yards and 44 TDs and Rushed for 1456 and 17TD. Jack Rice will have all three of his Offensive weapons in Sr ATH Micha Fondenot-Conely, Sr. WR Isaac Drake, and WR Raequan Washington all return to lead and amazing Offense. Holy Trinity will look towards future All American Jr ATH Jashaun Corbin to be the difference maker. QB Jacquel Perry, Fr RB Latarious Hill, Sr Wr Deltavain Griffin, and Leading Tackler So LB Sullivan Altmon will have to play lights out to pull the upset. Holy Trinity has also landed the #1 rated Freshman in 8th Grade All American, 321 Middle School AllStar, and Fr Phenom ATH LaAnthony Valentine. Valentine is a game changer with blazing speed that now gives Coach Hooks another weapon on Offense and another Athlete on defence. This should be an exciting game!!!!

Cocoa plays the #3 ranked team in the Nation Bishop Gorman, NV on ESPN 9/2 and will follow with another out of state opponent 9/30 against Rockhurst, MO. The Tigers return 18 Starters and have 8 highly ranked transfers this season. Jr ATH Javian Hawkins, Sr RB Lasedrick King, Sr ATH Dezmond Morgan, Sr DT Ian Newton, Sr QB Brad Canarie, Sr ATH CJ Bartley, SR OL Adrian Murray, and Sr DB Josh Ramirez will all be new impact players for the Tigers.
