Brothers-Keeper
Lavonte Valentine of Holy Trinity has always looked out for and been a mentor to his younger brother LaAnthony. They come from a very religious family and Lavonte truly believes that he is his Brothers-Keeper and being the oldest he must lead by example in his studies and on the field. They have not played together since playing Peewee football at Melbourne. Once LaAnthony decided to go to Holy Trinity there was no question that Lavonte would transfer from Melbourne Central Catholic to help his younger brother adjust to High School.
Many that play high school football will attest that when you sweat and compete with your friends they become brothers for life. Not many can say they played High School Football with their actual siblings. We have seen a great set like the Batch brothers at Merritt Island, Folston at Cocoa, and Gaines at Heritage. This upcoming season, five schools will have a set of brothers competing on Friday night side by side.
Holy Trinity will have speedy JR ATH Lavonte Valentine with FR phenom ATH LaAnthony Valentine. Viera will see the #1 ranked LB in Brevard SR LB Connor Kaminski play along side JR LB Garrett Kaminski. Satellite will have twin brothers JR DB Zarius Cobb and JR DB Zerius Cobb. Merritt Island will see little big brother FR RB/FS Daythan Peterson (who was a Middle School All American) team up with shifty JR WR/RB Deben Peterson. Palm Bay will see the Human Highlite SR ATH/WR Dez Arthur team up with younger brother and Youth Football Phenom FR/RB Ladarius Tennison.
All these Brothers will guide their younger siblings as they make the huge jump from playing Little League and JV to now Varsity Football in one of the toughest Counties in the Nation.
At the end of the day…no one has your back like a Big Brother. After watching these Boys play over the years I am 100% sure they are in great hands and will learn how to compete at a High level.
