Time for some Hard Truth for Parents and Players. Scholarship offers are on the rise in Brevard but some of us are still missing the boat. I have been doing this for years now and time and time again I see Youth Super Stars not develop on the High School level. Players have to understand that your Youth Accomplishments mean absolutely nothing to a High School Coach. You have to come in and put the time in the weight room, classroom, and field. Check your egos and listen to these Coaches who are giving you the tools for success.

If you want D1 offers you have to start looking like one. You can’t expect offers if you’re a Sophomore or Junior and look like you can still make weight for Little League. The grind is year round!! Get on someone’s track team, wrestling team, or with a Trainer to take your game and body to the next level. When I say look like a D1 Athlete that also means being NCAA qualified , GPA 2.5 or higher, and taking the ACT and SAT during your Sophomore and Junior year to improve upon your score.

Lastly, you can’t just play your Football Season and hang up the cleats until spring practice. Build your recruiting profile by attending Combines, Camps, and 7v7 Events for exposure. Parents you might say these cost too much money. But you have to think about the priceless media exposure and getting the Players name out to a University. Also the money you will save on College Tuition far exceeds a Camp or Combine Registration. If you wait until their Senior Year you are too late. College Coaches already have a recruiting plan for the Juniors they want to recruit. Don’t be left behind. The ball is in your hands now. Don’t fumble!!!
