GAME OF THE WEEK Viera Hawks vs Osceola Kowboys:

 Both teams come in ranked Nationally in the Top 100 by Maxpreps. Viera ranked #71 and Osceola ranked #72. This will be the 1st meeting between Viera and Osceola. On offense Viera’s Passing Attack is loaded with quick capable receivers in Jr WR Sean Atkins, Sr WR Travis Jones, Sr WR Quinton Richard, and Sr ATH Qunelius Phillips. Osceola moves the ball with a heavy running attack led by Sr QB Braxton Jones and Sr RB Malcolm Davidson.

The big question to be answered is who will win the battle upfront on the line of scrimmage? Viera DLine gets great penetration with DE James Klaas and DE Miguel Rodriguez, whereas Osceola gets pressure from 3Star Sr DT Jordan Redmond Sr DE Dion Bergan. The Osceola LBs do a great job of finding the ball carrier with players like Sr OLB Connor Parker and Jr LB Kiyantae Harrison. Viera LB’s do a great job as well with Jr MLB Brock Holland and 3Star Sr LB Brandon Mays . Look for some answers Thursday night at Viera High School Stadium at 7pm.

Palm Bay has not been bested by Heritage since a 27-20 loss in 2013 at Palm Bay. The Panthers are still looking for its first victory on the season after being very competitive against Merritt Island and Lake Mary. The Pirates on the other hand has looked very impressive in its first two games against Sebastian River and Martin County. Their is no question that these two teams will run the ball and play swarming defence. Anything can happen in a rivalry game but we give the edge to Palm Bay.
