#3 Palm Bay Pirates vs #4  Viera Hawks: The matchup of two Brevard County powers will take place Friday Night under the lights of Viera Stadium. This game has the potential be a scoring explosion. When a team has four Wide Receivers in the top 25 in reception statistics its usually a sign the Offense is moving the chains and the QB is having a great year. (Sr QB) Hayden Kingston has been lighting up the scoreboard and the stat sheet to the tune of 1876 yards 21TDs and completing 65% of his passes. Kingston leads the State of Florida in passing and is #34 on the list Nationally. Throwing to sure handed Receivers gives Kingston the confidence to go out and continuously drop Dimes on opposing Teams. Kingston’s favorite target (Sr. WR) Tre Nixon leads Class 7A with 36 Receptions and 621 yards. Spreading the ball around to (Sr WR) Alex Cabrera (28Rec, 456 yards 6TD, 4th in 7A), (So WR) Quinton Richard (21Rec, 268 yards, 15th in 7A), and (Jr WR) Don Jackson (20Rec, 197 yards 1TD, 21st in 7A), makes this a tough team to defend. They spread the field and really put pressure on opposing teams Secondary.

Palm Bay Pirates will need to call upon its “Darkside Defense” who will be without (Sr ATH) Twonnie Pollard (Injured), will need to step up and contain the Hawks passing attack. The Pirates (So CB) Javonn Roberson, (SR CB) Ozzie Samuel, and (Sr FS) Rashid Leftridge will be tasked to defend in the secondary and they are more than up for the challenge.  Look for Pirates to help the defense out by keeping Viera off the field with (Sr RB) Brian Lankford-Johnson and its rushing attack. Viera has not shown that it can stop the run this season and that plays into the Pirates strength. This game will be another instant classic as they are two of the best teams in Brevard County.
